Authentication

All API requests require authentication via an API key.

API Key Authentication

Include your API key in the Authorization header:

Authorization: Apikey YOUR_API_KEY

Example

curl \
-H 'Authorization: Apikey irfk_a1b2c3d4e5f6...' \
https://api.indreelforge.com/api/status

Getting an API Key

  1. Log in to your IndReelForge dashboard
  2. Navigate to API Keys
  3. Click Create Key
  4. Copy and store the key securely
danger

API keys are shown only once upon creation. If you lose your key, you must generate a new one.

Security Best Practices

  • Never expose API keys in client-side code
  • Use environment variables to store keys
  • Rotate keys periodically
  • Use separate keys for development and production

Rate Limits

The API enforces two independent limits:

Global rate limit (all plans): 300 requests/minute per IP across all endpoints.

Upload endpoint rate limit (all plans): 30 upload requests/minute per IP, applied to /api/upload, /api/upload_photos, /api/upload_text, and /api/upload_document.

Monthly upload quota (plan-based):

PlanUploads/month
Free10
BasicPlan limit
ProfessionalPlan limit
AdvancedPlan limit
BusinessPlan limit

There is no per-plan concurrent in-flight upload enforcement. The monthly quota is enforced atomically per user so concurrent requests cannot exceed the cap. When rate limited, you'll receive a 429 Too Many Requests response.
