Threads Upload Guide

Post text updates and videos to Threads (by Meta) using the IndReelForge API. Threads uses the same Meta Business Suite connection as Instagram — if you've connected Instagram you're halfway there.

Supported Content Types

Threads-Specific Fields

Field	Description
threads_reply_to_id	Numeric Threads post ID to reply to (text posts only). For a text over 500 characters, the first post replies to it and the rest continue as a reply chain.
threads_topic_tag	Topic tag (max 50 characters)

Connect Threads

1. Dashboard → Profiles → select your profile
2. Click Connect next to Threads
3. Authorise via Meta / Facebook login (same credentials as Instagram)
4. Return — status shows Connected

Instagram Required

Threads accounts are linked to Instagram accounts. You must have a connected Instagram account before connecting Threads.

Troubleshooting

Error	Cause	Fix
instagram_not_connected	Threads requires Instagram link	Connect Instagram first
text_too_long	Over 500 characters	Threads limit is 500 chars — shorten or split
video_unsupported_format	Not MP4	Convert to MP4 H.264
